Planning a spring vacation - recommendations needed!!!

I woke up this morning to the sound of rain which means it will probably be coming down for the next 8 months or so. I've started thinking about avacation to a sunny location in about March to break up the monotony. I'm looking for recommendations. If you've been somewhere that stands out as agreat place to visit please tell me about it. If you have some pictures that would be super. I'm thinking Mexico, the Caribbean, Costa Rica maybe??? Where have you been that you would love to return to??????? Thanks!

I haven't been in March ( I've gone from September thru January) but a cruise to the Caribbean is fantastic! Ship travels at night while your'eenjoying the night life and then you wake up in a new location to go explore. Fantastic food, no driving yourself silly to "get there", you meetfriends for life if you stay out of that cabin and mingle instead of watching stupid movies in your room. I hated when they started putting TV's in therooms on ships. So many people just waste their time aboard. Try to limit who you go with if anybody except your spouse and maybe kid or kids. If you tieyourself down to too many people, you won't get to do the things you want to because of "their" schedule. There are TONS of things to do sodon't let anyone tell you there aren't. "They" were probably some of those folks that hibernate in their rooms. it's a BLAST! If you wantto be with the energetic crowd , regardless of your own age.......consider Carnival cruise lines. Not the best as far as food, amenities, etc. butwaaaaaaaaaaaay better as far as the youthful feeling aboard the ship. Don't get me wrong......the Carnival lines have great food and the rooms are nice,etc. but Royal Caribbean is nicer. Only trouble is Royal Caribbean has a lot of "blue-hairs" on board. Still tons to do on RCCL but not as many youngpeople. there! How's that for a suggestion. Save money by watching the sales, and sailing during off-peak times. Also, if a port is close by, you drivethere the night before, stay in a hotel and see if the hotel shuttle will take you to the dock. then you leave your car at the hotel lot for the week insteadof parking at the dock.

Man.......... That sounds like a BLAST!!!! Last I looked Bruce, those package cruises were pretty affordable!

Right now is the time.........cheap cruises with the economy the way it is. You should be able to go cruising just about anywhere for $60 or less per day! Thatincludes all of your food! It really is cheaper than just about any vacation when you consider everything. We try to cruise out of Galveston.......sometimesNew Orleans. Drive is a bit far to N.O. though. Cheap flights sometimes to Fort Lauderdale FL........that's the way to go!

I am thinking .... come on down to Las Vegas. Never bored here ...lol
