Android/ebay help needed

I have a Samsung Captivate w/ ATT. Bought it in July. It runs on Android 2.0 At first I could view ebay in Desktop mode, and that was fine for the first 4 months. One day I cleaned the cache/cookies, and now when I go to ebay my phone defaults to Mobile mode.

But this is where I default to: [url]http://shop.mobileweb.ebay.com/searchresults?cmd=SCAT&pg=1&catid=220&catnm=toys[/url]

I msg'd ebay but the say I couldn't have b een able to view desktop mode because it takes up too much memory on their system to support such. Is there anything I can do on my phone to prevent this default action.
