Lesson Learned
Hi Guys, my first post in this forum. I have seen some really nice product from you guys, and now I would like something done for me. I have an US aqua Custom Vette that I would like to have done in YELLOW. The base, glass. and white interior are nearly dead mint. Thiis E-won is too chippy for my tastes. The one thing unique I want done if possible, is I'd like the tail painted in yellow as well. Please posst or PM your price. No new shoes needed. No Rush to get it done. Any replies appreciated. Mike
Shocked that no one has responded. Is it wrong to solicit services? Is this only a show and tell forum?
Nearly one hundred views and not even a reply as to whether it can be done or not. RUDE. Won't be posting here again. What an unexplainable situation.

Re: Lesson Learned
I don't think there's anything wrong with soliciting services, problem is that this part of the board isn't moderated so I'm sure every one assumed someone else had sent you a PM or was going to reply to your post.
Probably no proffessional restorers left around here but they are around...that's who you should be contacting.
As for your question....the base and body share the same casting/plating procedures so of course the base or any part of it can be painted.

Re: Lesson Learned
PS... i used to know a guy from the Tacoma, Wa. area went by 'wildtrout' that did a chocolate brown woody for a bow I have going. I've tried to reach out, but no longer have his info. This all comes from the fact that I don't care for AF, and true yellow seems difficult with shading, toning, and peppering. Just want a car that POPS IN A GIOVANNI. Most of my friends could care less if it's legit. Mike

Re: Lesson Learned
Wildtrout, you mean Garey? He is in Montana I think. If it is the same guy, I have his info.
