1973 Pontiac Firebird Fornula 400 Promo Model!

The First car i ever bought was this car,1973 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400,Red with White interior and top. In 1981. Sold it in 1984. The one i should have kept. I was at a Diecast show and found this promo model. Bought it in 1981. Still in great shape. Enjoy! Thanks! One of the prettiest years for Firebird, great lines and especially front end styling -- kind of a single headlamp version of the 1970 GTO. Plus, the Formula hoodscoops that aggressively want to pounce from the hood. Finally, the LACK of ducktail spoiler makes it for me... looks so clean without. Nice model, go ahead and post pics of your 1:1 if you can.

Gorgeous promo. I have a Metallic brown one - will try to shoot it later if I have time - which I think is the most common color. Can't say I've seen a red one...
I have to agree with the above...the fact that the spoiler isn't there does wonders for the car. Nothing like do-nothing bolt-ons to change the dynamic of an otherwise pretty car.

That's sweet! I had a 73 Firebird in High School and always wanted a Formula or a T/A. Love that body style, just don't like the rubber front bumper, the paint never seemed to adhere to it very well, did it?
I'd love to see Ryans model as my Firebird was dark brown...

Wow I bought a '73 firebird Espirt years ago just for the motor, ripped it out a put in Vega notchback......One of the many cars I wish I still had. lol
And Scott the nose on this puppy looked pretty cool with a SD motor in it

I have a 76. Yeah not quite as cool. A little more disco.
