on September 11th 2001 we all as hot wheel collectors for 1 day didn't think about waiting out side a store wanting to see if they had a fresh case of hot wheels we turned to our tv radios computers to watch as one of the worst acts of terror played out.
it wasn't about that t-hunt or error or htf vari or that redline on ebay it was about how could we help people in New York Washington Pennsylvania.
We were looking for flags places to donate money and blood.
please remember thoues who were lost and the ones still dealing with the lose.

Re: 10 years ago
Hard to believe it's been 10 years. I remember it like yesterday as I'm only a couple hrs. away. My prayers continue to go out to all of the families who had loss. The N.Y.P.D. and Firefighters are second to none. Those people were trying desperately to get out of the buildings and the firfighters were heading in to save people obviously putting there life on the line. Not to mention the passengers over PA who took over the plane and crashed it to foil the hijackers plans. The sacrifice made by so many still brings tears to my eyes and so very proud to be an American!!!!!

Re: 10 years ago
I remember standing in front of the tv listening to the initial reports of an "accident"... then watching that plane hit the second tower. The flood of emotion was such that I hadn't experienced in quite a few years. I still feel the anger/denial/vunerability/sorrow/anger on every anniverary of it. I lost a few friends that day and I think every American lost a piece of thier soul.

Re: 10 years ago
I was at my desk at work ... radio tuned to a talk radio program as usual. They broke in with a special 'breaking news' story, and never returned to regular programming the rest of the day. I was sure it was a terrorist act from the beginning .... my fears confirmed when the second plane hit. I so wanted to be with my family .... my daughter was at school (a senior then), my wife at her job ... and my son in the Marines .... already close to the middle east region.
God bless all those who paid the ultimate price that day .... workers in & near the WTC & the Pentagon .... police, fire, & other emergency personnel .... and the victims aboard the aircraft. God bless all of your families too. And God bless all of America .... as we still reel from this tragedy 10 years later. We can rebound, with God's help. Stand tall America!

Re: 10 years ago
I am one that believes there is some kind of government cover up going on because a plane did not hit the Pentagon. I dont know what did but I want to know. The most secure building in the world and no video and zero plane wreckage and no wing damage to the biulding, kinda wierd to me.

You sound like Willie Nelson??? Let me guess it was also George Bush's fault? Please let us not go there today. There was no government cover up!

Re: 10 years ago
What happened on that day should never be forgotten. I am completely willing to stand in a TSA line in an airport so that something like this may never happen again. May God bless the families of the deceased and their souls as well.
p.s. Shane, a plane did hit the pentagon. The reason there was no wreckage was because the plane was completely obliterated when it hit. Whatever was left was buried by debris from the Pentagon itself. There was no video because no one thought that the plane would hit the building. Would you whip out your cell phone and take a video of a random plane passing overhead on any other day? But, to echo rntknifes, different thread, different day.

Wasn't trying to start anything. I wont say anything else on the subject. People tend to believe what others want them to believe.

I'll say this on the matter.
I have been in the aerospace business since 1979 and NO plane would ever be completely obliterated in a crash.
NEVER EVER!!!
