Fall Fishing Trip
I got back from my fall fishing trip last Sunday and it was a blast as expected. Fishing ranged from absolutely horrible to about a C9.5. I was camping and the weather was a low of 23 degrees one morning to a high of around 60 one afternoon. I encountered only one major problem and that is I lost my new digital camera and what a beating that was. I'd been out taking pictures like crazy which is something I never have done in the past. The colors were just starting to get spectacular so there was a lot to photograph. I lost the new Sony on the last day after taking a trainload of pictures of a large rainbow. To make a long story short the guy I was with had an old nonwaterproof digital camera so we took these two pics the last aftenoon. This is the largest brown of the day:

I was really unhappy I lost the camera because the previous Bow was about an inch longer. I managed to angle this one in late in the afternoon. Not as long but talk about a fat pig! I never take good pictures and this is no exception. Landing large fish without a net in the front of a pontoon boat is a challenge. Please remember I was trying not to fall out of the boat!

Good year of fishing. I made it to Belize for some salt water action in March, a trip to Kodiak Island, AK in July and finished the year with a great fall trip. I can't wait for the next vacation!

Re: Fall Fishing Trip
Sounds like you had a blast Lane, but all these big fish stories with the loss of the camera sounds pretty fishy to me....LOL

Re: Fall Fishing Trip
LOL Rick:
No kidding! I reread my post and nowhere did I say large fish in huge numbers so I'm 100% safe in this post. There were some long, tough days of fishing with minimal results on this vacation. I was just happy to have a nice fish pic to post!

Re: Fall Fishing Trip
It was a drag for sure. At one point I had actually taken a shoe lace out of a shoe with the intention of tying it around the wrist strap of the camera and attaching it to ME somehow. Losing that train of thought cost me a couple bucks.....
As a true sportsman I tossed them all back in. I'm still eating halibut from Alaska!!!!!
