What a experience
Went to see my mom yesterday, she has regained the use of her right arm but still hasn't regained the use of her right leg... Yet! Anyway she had a new addition to her room, and I am not joking on this nor is it funny, in the first bed as you come into her room is an elderly lady in her eighties, who happened to be a Nazi. Really this is not a joke, but this is the first time I met someone who claimed to be one. She saiid that as a girl she dated many officers in hittler's army. She also stated that hittler was a great president, and that the Russians messed everything up. There were other things that had been said that I won't repeat. What was scary was that someone actually believes this stuff. She wasn't threatening but the thoughts were very scary.

Re: What a experience
Thanks guys yep mom is doing better, but it is hard seeing a parent in this position. I appreciate them alot, and have seen a different side of both of my parents since this had happened, stuff I didn't even see growing up, it is different.

Re: What a experience
Robert,
Hope your mom has a full recovery.
The roommate sounds like a roommate nightmare. I would ask for another room.
After my moms surgery a couple months ago, she didn't like her roommate, so we got her in a different room which made her recovery a little easier.

Re: What a experience
Robert,
Great to hear mom is recovering.
I won't comment on the Nazi.

Re: What a experience
Robert,
It's promising to hear of your mom's progress. Attitude means a lot when recovering from a health issue, so I would strongly suggest you follow Scott's advice on a different roommate.
But if you dont, regardless of yours or your mother's religious affiliation, I would place a very large Menorah in plain sight within the room. Yeah ... I would do it just to be aggravating to the old Nazi ... but that's just me I guess.
Hope your mom continues her improvement!

Re: What a experience
Robert, glad to hear your mom's health is improving. I hope she can make a full recovery. As for the Nazi woman, I would say don't worry about it as long as she isn't causing any trouble or bothering your mom. I am sure she is probably a very nice lady at heart, she just still believes what they were told to believe.
