Magic Jack

Anyone have one or know somebody that does ?
Got one for Christmas and the registration requires my credit card information. Seems kind of like handing someone a blank check ! There's apparently a LOT of people using them, just looking for any first-hand experiences.

In case nobody knows what it is ....

Good topic Mark.I was curious myself.

I know that my mother in law has one and my wife complains that she often can't get through when she tries to call her mom. The good news is that her mother calls here less due to these problems!! ;)

i have a magic jack ,, i never had to give my credit card info..... i followed the directions and that was it,, it works good, although sometimes a call will get dropped if you lose internet connection, no more home phone which means no more telemarketers and no more telephone bills,
