I am not shocked but heartbroken...she was so great in her prime.
I am deeply saddened.
R.I.P. Whitney...we will always love you!

I just saw that myself Jeff. It seems like such a waste. She was such a great performer in years passed.
Jeff
she was a train wreck waiting to happen.
too bad she couldn't get her demons under control.
Very sad indeed. I had really hoped she would come out of her cloud and find herself. Not my type of music really however I think she had one of the best female voices in music history. In her prime she could not be touched. What a shame.
Drugs are a Bitch!
I'm in my 20th year of sobriety from them..........
Just say: Ugh, to drugs!!!!!
R.I.P. Whitney, loved your rendition of the Star Spangled Banner before the 1991 Super Bowl, probably still the best i've ever heard.........
Yeah, I think she is too young to be gone.. It's the same age as my mother. That's really sad to not see Whitney around on this planet anymore.
I admit it's a loss, but she burned the candle at both ends, and still tried to light it in the middle. Not that it makes a difference, but it seems she denied all the help available, and nobody cared enough to force her to clean up.
Rest in Peace.
Jeff!
for some reason, this death hit me harder than others. Not sure why...RIP Whitney
One of the greatest female vocalists of all time... as evident that no others try to cover her songs...I love the album :The Bodyguard.
Another sad reminder that success, celebrity, money, looks, popularity, etc. are no guarantee of peace or happiness. What a waste.
