Re: SHOW OFF
Yeah, I guess it depends on how much the parts are going to cost I don't think a resale value would be too great though, jmho

This is what ruins the value for some castings. Restored or not, some short run car used to fetch good money, not anymore. Repops ALWAYS bring downt he value or an original.

Re: SHOW OFF
They are always worth restoring if you like redlines
You're not going to get much the way it sits!!!!!
Why not make it look new again.

You can get a superchromes bye focal pretty cheap and use it for parts.
Or parts can be purchased at Redlineshop.com
But if you don't want it,,,,,, then send it / sell it to me.

How do you figure that ? An original is still an original regardless of whether there are reproductions, re-leases or restorations. Have you noticed the prices of original Open Fires lately ? Sheesh ! I used to buy beaters for $20 to $30 .... beaters are now up to $50+ ! Apparently the re-release of the RLC Open Fire didn't hurt that short run casting any.
And for what it's worth - short for reproduction is REPRO, not REPOP .... I'd like to know who started that !
Mark.

Re: SHOW OFF
I think...Do Not Use repro parts on it. try and original parts and put them on best you can. I happily trade it for a lesser rumbler, if you like.

Re: SHOW OFF
My $.02 worth...paints looks fair on it, try to find some original parts and put it back together. Glue in a front axle, add an engine and some rear caps and you're set w/ a decent display car ?

Re: SHOW OFF
i think my best bet is to find a beater on ebay and transplant it onto mine
parts are just too hard to find elsewhere
