My new project MOPAR
I'm in the beginning stages of my new 1970 440 Road Runner project. A few members here have asked me to post progress as it goes along so here is the first shots. I'll call these the "before" pics. When finished it will be a shade of lime green and about 4" lower than it sits now with a 4-link rear suspension and coil-overs all the way around and 4 wheel Wilwood 12" disc brakes.

Here is a pic of the front suspension we build for Mopar cars and I will be installing one in mine. Tubular Chrome-Moly construction with coil over shocks, power rack and pinion steering, Nascar type sway bar and 150 lbs lighter than the stock unit.

I have almost every part already to complete the car with the exception of door panels and a few other misc. pieces but they are readily available and should not be a problem.

Re: My new project MOPAR
Most excellent.Looks like it was a all green car before? Sassy Grass Green interior? Olive exterior? or Dark Green?

Re: My new project MOPAR
My plan is all black interior and an off shade of sublime for the exterior and engine bay. It was olive green originally but I hate that color and want it to pop as it goes down the road.

Re: My new project MOPAR
Jeff, whether you use them again or not, KEEP those "B" Block Mickey Thompson valve covers, as they have not been made for years, and are probably as rare as the M/T valve covers for big (390-427-428) and small (289-302-351W) block Fords, of which i still have a set of each, stashed away in my garage..........

I kinda like the classic look of them Johnny and I'll probably blast and powder coat them and run em. We powder coat in house so I can get creative with them.

Would ghost flames (i hope i'm using the right term here, they are the type that are almost hidden in the duco), look good on this car?

Re: My new project MOPAR
They probably would, but thats not my style. I like a straight, one color (with the exception of the matte black stripe down the hood) no frills paint job as it would have left the factory. Thanks for the comments everyone.

Great idea, i'm actually thinking of putting the SBF M/T's on my '68 Ranchero GT, to give it back a more 1970's look under the hood. They havn't been on an engine since the late '80's, but they're polished and ready to install........
