Putting a "toe in the water" For PIMP MY RIDE intrests...

So I did a couple "Pimp my ride" contests some years back and they are still some of my favorite cars in my collection. After having to sell off most of my stuff a couple times, those are ones that I never could part with. The last time it was done for a part 3 there wasn't a lot of follow through on the part of the customizers...Well as stated, I'm putting a "Toe in the water" to see who may be interested in giving it a go again...
The way it works:
You post on this thread entering yourself into the contest (if we get response, as of now it's not a "go")
You send me a PM with your address and request a car which I send you (everyone gets the same casting).
I pay shipping to you and supply the car.
I give a 30 day period to complete your masterpiece, by the end of which time you return your completed car to me for judging.
I post pics and there's a vote on the best finished product.
Winner get $100, second gets $50 - I keep the cars when it's done. Enough participation and I'll do it again....and the more entries there are, the higher the payouts...

As stated, for now I'm just testing the waters to see if we can get as much interest as we did the first time or two and if it looks like we have enough interested, we'll give it a go. So post here and let me know if you're interested and we'll go from there.

I enjoyed this contest years back , liked seeing the creative ways people would customize these cars...

I know Tom (Witechokit77) very well, and have been to his house countless times.. he still has the Hi Tail's from years back, and they are awesome!

I do remember some issue about the picture quality from the previous contest... perhaps a rule should be put in about allowing the people to submit their own pictures if they want to, with some sort of guidelines (i.e. everything pictured must be included on the car when shipped...) There is one issue I see with people submitting there own pictures though...
A picture can make a bad car look good, and a good car look bad, as we've all seen many times over the years (especially on Ebay!).. so there has to be someway to offset that so that the entry that wins, wins because its the best custom, and not the best picture of a mediocre custom (which is I beleive years back why Tom didnt want to allow submitted photo's -and only his, so they'd all be judged off the same type of picture)

With all that said, my solution is:

Tom - post some pics of the old Hi Tails from the first contest, to show A) how sweet they are , and B) your improved picture taking capability .. maybe that will generate some interest and get this thing going, and also put to rest the picture debate.
