Realistic Tire Wear
Here's a nifty and quick little procedure for enhancing realizzzzm on your HWs. Works on real rider wheels too. The glossy tread just DOESN'T look too real...
Memory card got full RIGHT at the end,...but got 'er in JUST barely...
100 grit sandpaper,...but any will do...
Once done,...wipe the wheels down your pantleg to clean off the excess! Don't let your Mom see you do that or you'll get in heck for getting them dirty...! :D
You can double the speed by moving the vehicle back and forth instead. Angle the vehicle up a few degrees to get that edgewear effect from cornering...but not TOO much or you'll wreck it.
Note: For even more realizzzzm,...put a well centered dot of flat black paint on the back
end of any exhaust pipes......OR use a black magic marker...
Black thread for brake and clutch cables...
No time right now..... Later...
Check the video,...then look at the pics below for results...

Re: Realistic Tire Wear
Great job. Like those tires like that. They have a real look, like what you would see on a Funny Car or Dragster.

Re: Realistic Tire Wear
Glad you like it. Giver a try on something and post it up!
I've done it on all the customs I've sold, and guys just FREAK when they notice!
If they don't notice right off,...I tell 'em to look for something just a little special extra done for realism...
