Coin Collectors?
I'm selling an old (early 1990's) Canon EOS Elan 35mm camera with a Sigma zoom lens and case. I've got a guy offering me an 1800's (he didn't specify an exact year) uncirculated silver dollar in trade for it. I have no idea what this may be worth or what to look for (and conversely, what to run away from). I realize that lack of a specific year and condition (though it is supposedly uncirculated) will make it difficult, but do any of you have anything that you can throw out here that may be of help? Let's just assume it would be a year that would be of the least value...
Thanks.

Re: Coin Collectors?
It absolutely depends on year mint mark and condition. It could be worth anywhere from $30.00 to $5,000,000 for an 1804 Silver dollar. If you post a pic i could give you a rough idea to value. Also quite a few fakes exist so a photo of both sides of the coin is an absolutely necessary prerequisite to value.

Re: Coin Collectors?
Maybe a Carson City (CC), they are the most collected of the Morgan's assuming it's one

Re: Coin Collectors?
True although 1893 S or 1895 can both cost a pretty penny.

Re: Coin Collectors?
I responded to him via email asking if he had a specific coin in mind. He asked if there was any year I was looking for. Once again, I have no clue. I'm only asking $75 obo for the camera so I guess I'm looking for something comparable in value. Suggestions?

Re: Coin Collectors?
At a minimum each US silver dollar between 1878 and 1935 is worth about $30.00 just for the silver alone regardless of date or condition. So two silver dollars any date any condition + $15.00 would be a fair deal.

Maybe for common circulated coins but uncirculated fetches higher and if it's BU, even more
