Just some old restos...

I was wondering how things have been on the forum since I "retired" from collecting and figured I'd pop in and post a few of my old restos from many moons ago. It's been a long time since I tried my hand at restoring or customizing a casting; I think the last one I worked on was from 2005-2006 or so.

I always enjoyed seeing the different restorations and how they would vary from restorer to restorer. As a result, most of my "displayable" redlines were actually restos, lol.

Thanks! That one was a kid-painted car which I hoped would be a nice casting underneath...only to find that the kid sanded it before painting, lol. A member who went by Cord Crazy zinc plated the body for me after I smoothed it out. It came out pretty nice.

Kool Deora! Cord, too! I skipped Cubs and went straight into BSA but always have had an appreciation for the Pinewood stuff. I enjoy looking at old vintage Pinewood Derby cars on Ebay for fun.

Cool - that looks great! Perhaps we could start a PWD thread during the next derby season :D - I've got a bunch of others that I could show off.
