Favorite performances, (based on the topic, emotional ROCK SONGS)

 I loved crusing around the Emotional Rock songs thread, so, so, so, many of my favorites in there, there was nothing to add, but it was very entertaining. It got me to thinking, not necessarily of the most emotional rock songs, but of the best LIVE performances I have ever seen on You Tube, and I was wondering ifanyone ever was super impressed with a particular 'performance'. This is my ultimate favorite. Its a video I watch for inspiration before I have to do a big show. I can't pull up YouTubes at the moment and really, I doubt video would do this justice. As for one particular song live that was the most impressive it hadto be Neil Young doing "Like a Hurricane". He was left with about 2 strings when the song was finished. There were likely some cool ones from my youth but like they say "it was the 70's".

Trans Siberian Orchestra. Seen them close to 10 times now and they always sound awesome and put on an emotional performance, especially during the first"Christmas" half of the show. Seen Boston twice and those two shows rank #1 and #2 on my list of best sounding concerts. Mike HWsMinis

to each their own i guess...i remember my parents calling led zeppelin and pink floyd garbage.... and yes brah, that is guitar virtuosity. having a seizure? that's rich. i could go on for days bagging on the appearance and stage antics of nearly everymajor rock band in history, but that has little to do with the music itself, so i don't really see the point.

Thanks for that post! I don't get the harder music I am afraid, I like to anticpate where a song is going, and I just don't find that I am able to do so when listening tothose bands. I like to groove along to a predictable melody, preferabbly with harmonies to listen to, where I understand the words and can sing along.� Some�of those heavy bands, play�stuff that�makes no sense to me, musically. I am impressed they all seem to know what each other is doing though, it does seem to be at least cohesive in some way,....... sometimes at least to theuntrained ear, LOL. Its like another musical language to me.The guy from the Protest band, gave a winning�show though, the crowd loved it.�Even though�Idon't 'get' the tune, it doesn't mean I don't recognize a sincere performance, and that is what I was looking for in this post, very cool,thanks for the share.
