What was your first concert you attended?
I was reading on the Facebook, Ozomatli page a question they asked and thought I would ask it here also.
How many of you remember your first concert? Who'd you go see?
I believe mine would be back in about 1969 or 1970. It was to go to the San Jose Civic Auditorium for the Ike & Tina Turner Review with the Ikettes.
What about you?

Re: What was your first concert you attended?
My first concert - Waysted opened up for Iron Maiden on the Somewhere In Time tour. This was back in 1987. I was 17 and a senior in high school. There were several concerts that I wanted to go to prior to this one, specifically Metallica opening for Ozzy, but my mother was very protective of me. Now that I have kids of my own, I can understand where she was coming from.

Re: What was your first concert you attended?
I don't remember if it was my junior or senior year in high school (83 or 84) my aunt and uncle took me and my cousin to the Coliseum outside of Cleveland to see MSB (the Michael Stanley Band). Back then they were the biggest thing in Cleveland. They hold the attendence record at the Coliseum and Blossom Music Center (our outdoor pavilion). They were known for outdrawing the Who, I can't remember if that was for the Coliseum or Blossom.

Re: What was your first concert you attended?
November 12, 1983.
Black Sabbath with Ian Gillan on vocals, Bev Bevan on drums. The Born Again Tour at the Cleveland Music Hall.
Openers were Quiet Riot.
We were in 10th grade, took the RTA (bus) downtown. (Fare was something like 0.13 or 0.25 cents)
Good times, seems like a long time ago on one hand, and "just like yesterday" on the other. :)

The Osmond Brothers in Vegas sometime around 1968-1970. I was 10 or 11 years old. All of our family was in Vegas for a wedding and all my cousins and my brothers, totalling 14 of us, were asked who we wanted to see in concert...The Osmond Brothers or Elvis Presley?
We all were teenagers or younger so we all said The Osmonds!

Re: What was your first concert you attended?
My 1st concert was Woodstock but I was one of the little kids more interested in playing in the mud then the music. My parents were hippies until college. All I remember vaguely is Jimi Hendrix playing and a funny smell that was always prevalent in the air LOL
My actual first concert that I wanted to and did attend (with my Dad) was KISS at Madison Square Garden back in 1976

Re: What was your first concert you attended?
Rolling Stones, sometime in high school. Oakland. A friend "borrowed" his parents' van; me, Alex, Brian and some girl that one of those two was dating. Her older sister had bought us beer. That's about all I remember.

Re: What was your first concert you attended?
Well if I don't count the free concerts at the county fair (I remember seeing Johnny Cash) I would say that my 1st would have been Alice Cooper "Trash tour" in 1990.
Then: Kiss - Hot in the shade, Billy Idol - Charmed life (3rd row with 2 hot chicks I was friends with) Those were were my 1st 3 after that I kinda lost track, went to alot between 1995- 2000.

Can't believe Waysted showed up here, under rated band. If you like U.F.O. look them up.
My first was AC/DC at Cleveland Public Hall, early 80's with Brian Johnson. First tour without Bon, Back in Black. Can't remember who opened though:cursing:

Re: What was your first concert you attended?
Josh, I saw the Hot in Shade tour in Hershey. I would have seen it twice, once outside at Cith Island and once inside at the Hershepark Arena, but had a bit of bad luck with a fifth of Jack Daniels and missed the outdoor show. Long story short I got a little bloody hopping a train to City Island and a little muddy jumping of the walking bridge into a tree, missing(mostly) and falling in the river trying to get away from the cops since I could barely walk straight. Good news - I made it back to my buddy's house to sleep it off safely, bad news - I had backstage passes because the girl I was dating at the time worked at a record store and I never got in the show.
JR Prowler, I still have some of those AC/DC bucks that fell from the ceiling from the AC/DC Love Hate show in Philly. I got hit buy a POS '76 tan Chevy Nova in the parking lot which ironicly pinned my leg between that and the only other POS '76 tan Chevy Nove 4 door in the state.
It still amazes me I am still alive sometimes.....

Re: What was your first concert you attended?
8/6/1977 World Series of Rock. Cleveland Stadium. Frampton-Seger-J. Geils and Rick Derringer. There were few things that could match a stadium concert in the 70's.
I just got tickets to see someone I've wanted to see for years but never got around to it. Gordon Lightfoot. 5th row. I figured I better do it before I no longer have the chance.
