Not lookin good for the Chargers....

Whew. Thanks Jets for keeping me from going 0-4. Poetic justice now if the Jets take out the team that mailed it in against them a few weeks ago, thus allowingthem this playoff run.

That dude has the biggest mouth for a QB that's done nothing whatsoever in the playoffs yet. Even was part of one of the biggestgags I've ever seen in college football a few years ago in a bowl game against UGA. The Chargers let the best QB go to NO.

Rivers and Romo should get together and watch some video of Manning and Brees...they could learn a lot.

PeepingScott wrote:
Thats what I was trying to tell Dave...re read it...He's hung up on the Rams "recent" history...whatever that means!! 2000's baby, much more recent than the 70's!!!!! Not a very good weekend of football overall, regardless of who won or lost....
Welp Turn out the lights the party is OVER! The vikes were ready the cowboys were NOT. They got blown out. The vikes just made them look silly. Romo lookedlike the old Romo, and the rest of the team looked like crap as well. Congrats to the Vikes. And i am SOOOOO HAPPY the Jets beat the Bolts. Cant stand Riversor LT. The Jets are lookin tuff rite now. That D is playing GOOD!
Jets defense did a great job, the interception didn't hurt either. Amazing to see Devito sack Rivers-couldn't have picked a better time to do it!Momentum in playoffs could result in some major upsets. Go Jets!
Cowboys will never win with Wade Phillips - I thought Shannahan would hold out for the Cowboys - How about Troy Aikman as coach?

Kevin

Tom Bourgeois wrote:
Hey Jeff---The Vikes defense looked awesome today. How did your bunch do in terms of injuries? Should be a great game in the Super Dome. The Saints usually blow playoff games against the Vikings but that was then!---T0M
Injuries--yeah, about those! The latest is that Kevin Willams and Ray Edwards have missed practice yesterday and today because of kneesprain/problems. That's, uh, not good. And Percy Harvin wasn't there today, with no word why. More migraines? (After watching my daughter suffer through those, I sure feel for the guy...) No word yet on if any of the three will play or not. Winfield still isn't 100% either. The defense is hurting...

Man, I try to like the Vikings. After all, 2 of my favorite college kids, Sidney Rice and Jasper Brinkley, are on that team. I just can't make myself likeFavre. His 'I'm a good old boy, I leave it all on the field, watch me cry' act grew old around 1999.
It's been "an uncomfortable" year for me with Favre at the helm, after all these years of loving to hate him. I got so tired of the "willhe/won't he" drama last summer, that it was a downer when he signed. I wouldn't be surprised if we face that again after this year with regards tonext year. I'm still trying to be accepting of him and keep an open mind, and it's only been thirteen games now.... :-) If he helps the Vikings pulloff the Superbowl, well, maybe I'll warm up to him!
The Saints defense appears to be pretty healthy. Question marks are with the offense. They signed a receiver off the practice squad, which leaves doubt aboutthe availibility of speedy WR Meachem. If I were a Viking fan, I would be more worried about how much Shockey plays; he blocks well and someone always seems tobe open when he's out in a pass pattern.

Jeff, if we each sell a Superfine Turbine we could afford to go to the game---T0M
Anyone care to read TODAY what that 2010 sports almanac said back in 1985 "back to the future" just a prop then; but now ? hmmm

I wondered back then what was written in it, now that we all lived long enough to know and it's going to take this whole year to find out.

Awesome prop for a movie !

1985/20 10 News headline. SAINTS TAKE THE BOWL HOME !
Yep, they will......the TOILET BOWL!!!!!
Oh ye of so, so, soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, little faith. That's you, Dave---TB
Although I really like TRUE fans like you Tom, through thick and then, not the flash-in-the-pan posers who come along and wave "their team" flagswhen they are semi-lukewarm!! Some old guys like me tend to pull for the ancient mariners!!

Hard to say where Dave's venom for the Saints is coming from. Did Rickey Jackson and the Dome Patrol whack one of his favorite Rams players from the'90s?

Maybe he's jumping on that bandwagon that wants to see Favre end his career with a Super Bowl victory.

The Saints have never been this good, never won this many games in a season, never hosted an NFC Championship game in the Super Dome. I think he never got over when George Rogers knocked Jack Youngblood on his ass back in 1981.

Man i cant decide for my picks this weekend. I sort of like the Vikes even though they sent my team HOME in a big way. Not really much of a saints fan. Coltsare OK, And i just like the way the Jets are playin. Its a tuffy.
I'll go Saints and Jets. Pretty interesting that Rex Ryan has done twice what his father never accomplished, win a playoff game.
I know Rex sounds cocky and all that stuff. But i sort of like him. Gotta make your players feel like they belong there!!
I'll take the Saints/Colts...
Saints/Colts here too.
Wow........ Wonder why Sheepers is responding to this??????????????? Hmmmmmm....... And the wheels on the bandwagon go round and round!!!
Saints/Colts here three.
OK COLTS AND VIKES!
I like the Saints & Colts in the SB. That means, go with the Vikings & Jets because my picks haven't been clicking with the exception of the Saints.
I'm going to have to go Colts and Vikings. The Vikes are going to have to play like last weekend though to pull it off, which will be hard given their injuries, and being on the road.

Hey Tom, I haven't seen your SFT on BST yet! Yeah, it's not really worth it... :-)
---COLTS & SAINTS---

Good luck to the Vikes, Jeff, and yea, you're right about the SFT; it's safely stored about 700 miles away from here---TB
A lifetime of abject misery won't wipe off the paper bags from the Aint's!!!!!!
A lifetime of abject misery, nah, not really. The real misery for Saints fans arrived in late August 2005 and ended when we got a new coach, a great QB and a pretty good 2nd overall pick in the draft in 2006. Geaux Saints!---TB
I just found out why Dave haites on the Saints....

In the 2000 season, the Saints defeated the then-defending Super Bowl champion St. Louis Rams for the team's first playoff win.

Steve
JETS, VIKINGS.
Looks like the Colts are in the Superbowl. I was reading that CBS want a Minnesota/Indianapolis game. Manning and Favre will gain the most viewers. Like, 4 million more than the usual 90 million.
Like they need to worry about viewers for the SB!!!
We never miss it, always have a party. I DVR it so I can watch the commercials later. The host gets no rest!! Lotta fun though...

C'mon Saints, I'm 1 for 1 so far, nothing short of a miracle!!
Colts baby! Whooooooooo
