Anyone care to guess on how much the Saints paid the refs?

Jets had a real chance to win that game. But the colts just had a little to much. And you have to be kidding me, on the second game! First all you Favre fans, your guy most likely gave the game away! Thats how Favre plays in most big games. Throwing INT'S when the game is on the line. If anybody knows not to make that throw its gotta be Favre, But he did now they sit at home. And AP has a bad case of fumbleitus. Now lets Move on to the saints, wonder how they feel about accepting those BS flags? No way that was pass interfearence! Then they call a pass complete that was clearly NOT, it hit the ground, and he never had control. It was easy to see what city they were playin in. But its all over now, saints and Colts. Didnt care for the saints before, now i really cant stand em.

GO COLTS
You guys are too funny...the NFL wanted the Vikings in the SB...
The refs didn't throw the game, that only happens in the NBA...
Games are won and lost by Turnovers..........period! With the Vikings with 5, they were BEGGING to loose. And as far as penalties, the Saints had their fair share of rotten calls against them. The question should be is how much did old man Favre pay the refs for the roughing passer call. The stats do show the Vikings dominated the game, BUT its the turnovers that killed them!

Look, the Number 1 AFC and the Number 1 NFC seeds are going the Super Bowl........that's the way it should be!

Again.....I say,

 Laissez les bon temps rouler

Yeah, about the game. Did I mention I haven't warmed up to Favre all year? He had a hole big enough for ten APs to blow through rather than throwing that ball. And he'd have hung onto the ball in the scramble, unlike the ten APs. And what was with the conservative play calling on the first two downs? Oh yeah, Klink's in charge... And there was sure some head scratching regarding some of those calls.... And, and...

Time to stop. But I could go on.... :-)

Tom, congrats to the Saints. I'm trying to figure out why it was a tie game with five Vikings turnovers though. I think the Saints are going to have to play a lot better if they want to beat the Colts!
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....

 Laissez les bon temps rouler

I think that's French for "If you swing, smile"...hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Tom, congrats to the Saints. I'm trying to figure out why it was a tie game with five Vikings turnovers though. Seems to me if anyone was throwing a game it would have been him!! I lost count on how many missed handovers he had!! How can a pro ball player like him screw up a simple handover.

And what was with the conservative play calling on the first two downs? Oh yeah, Klink's in charge...
Exactly - I was wondering the same. Then I remembered that he comes from the school of Andy Reid, another notorious bad play caller and clock manager when the game is on the line.

First off, I don't really get the Favre hatred. The Saints defense put him on the turf many, many times and the ol'man got up and kept the Vikes in the game. Do you really think the Vikes would have gotten this far without him? Give me a break.

Last night, yall saw what what we saw earlier in the season, a game much like our victory over the Jets where the offense looked bad but the defense stepped up with turnovers galore. And Jeff, you're right; late in the 4th quarter, I was pissed that we could possibly lose that game having won the turnover battle by a substantial margin. Just didn't know another turnover was yet to come.

And to steal today's headline from the Times/Picayune---DAT'S SUPER

If ya dont think the refs made some bad calls??? Vikes should have stomped them, turnovers killed them, and still had a chance to win the game in regulation play. BUT everybodys hero Favre cant run 5 yards?? Instead he throws ANOTHER pic.And that interfearence call?? Come on. Like i said its all IF AND OR BUT now. Its the saints and the Colts. Sure would be pissed if i was a Vikes fan. Reminds me of last year, when Favre was QB for the Jets, and they had a chance to make the playoffs with a win. Remember what heppened?? INT's all over.
By the way, I kinda get Jeff's hatred for Favre. Back in the day, we had to play Joe Montana twice a year. Sure do wish we had gotten Montana at the end of his career instead of, who was it, the Chiefs?---TB
Man, I remember watching a 49ers/Saints game back in the late 80's or very early 90's when the Saints QB was either Bobby Hebert or John Fourcade. The Saints wore out the Niners the whole game, but Montana snatched it away right at the end.

Offensive line, he said someone holds on every play, some get called, most don't. As far as that Interference call... the receiver was being held back long enough to not be able to have a "CHANCE" at the ball. It was a good call. Roger Goodall was at the Saints/Vikings game... Bill---Its a win/win for Archie then I'm pretty sure he will be a masked rider in the Rex Mardi Gras parade on Fat Tuesday. N. O. folks wanted to play Peyton, a best case scenario; we've already beaten Eli and the old man from Kiln, which is about 70 miles away from here.

According to radio reports yesterday, The Vikings/Saints NFC Championship Game was the most watched Non-superbowl program since the last episode of Seinfeld.

After the win, the city erupted into a Mardi Gras sized celebration on Bourbon Street and areas surrounding the Dome. No violence to report. Fireworks went off everywhere after the ball sailed through the uprights in OT.

Yesterday, Bobby Hebert broke down on the air when trying to talk about the Carolina game played days after Katrina and the flood. He'll be wearing a dress in honor of the late TV/radio guy Buddy D, who promised he'd wear a dress if the Saints ever made it to the Super Bowl.

Buddy was a hoot, famous for mangling names, my favorite his calling Donte Stallworth by Donte Stallpepper. Callers calling in after games with unrealistic expecations were regularly referred to as "squirrels."

A full page spread of a photo-shopped Buddy D in a dress appeared in yesterday's Times/Picayune. Widespread reoprts of stolen newspapers around the city. And that's what you get when Saints fans wait 43 years for a trip to the Super Bowl---T0M

PS---A few other tidbits I found out about yesterday. In 2006, our newly hired Coach Payton tried to get Romo from the Cowboys but Big Tuna wouldn't turn him loose. Miami coach Nick Saban (or somebody in Miami) didn't want to pay for a San Diego QB coming off an injury so Drew Brees came to the Saints.
The greatest Gamecock, George Rogers, spent a few years in N.O. so that team is all right in my book. Go Saints!

And the refs helped em out as well. And the Vikes had a chance at least to win it in regulation time. BUT The guy with the most picks in NFL history had to add another. RUN FORREST RUN!
And the Vikes would have likely won that game had Greer, Porter and Ellis been missing from the defense like I believe they were from the Dallas game. Just showing the Saints D a little love---TB
IF the dog hadn't stopped to $h&T he woulda caught the rabbit...... In honor of broadcaster Buddy D, a few hundred (hundreds?) Who Dat dudes wearing black and gold dresses marched from the Super Dome to the French Quarter on Sunday afternoon 1/31. I followed Bobby Hebert's truck float as the Cajun Cannon looking like a Norse goddess heaved little footballs in tight spirals down Poydras Street. Happy Buddy D-Gras! Win or lose, the Saints will get their own parade after the Super Bowl.
Who dat---TB
Welp its just around the corner now. The COLTS and the SAINTS! Not a big fan of either team, BUT i love football, and ya cant win em all. Saints fans lets see it. Colts fans lets see it. And everybody else. Just hope for a super good game, LOTS OF POINTS! And refreshments LOL. Good luck to both teams!!!
If the Colts win this thing, I think Manning gets into the discussion as GOAT. Multiple rings plus right at the top of all statistical categories is pretty compelling.
Colts baby!
Don't care who does it, but please bury the Aint's and the whole what dat nonsense, 95% of em' are bandwagoners anyway, no clue of a lifetime of football ineptness................
Who Dat news for Dave---Coach Payton and the rest of the Saints Pro Bowlers dressed as bellhops and greeted their arriving teammates at the hotel in Miami and, what else, carried their luggage---TB
Should be interesting.......my heart says Saints but head picks Colts.
