Sorry can't go with ya there Mike, my list of centers would be Wilt, Kareem, Russell, Olajuwan and Ming. Every time a team with Shaq and Yao opposing eachother, Yao OWNED that big goof, simply because Yao can work the entire floor and shoot!

Top fifty? I need to go through some names there, but fifty is really a lot and there have been TONS of dominating and skill players I would put over Shaq, youlike stats, I like the "X-factor" which includes work ethic, being in shape, having a multi-dimensional game and the ability to shoot AND make shotsfrom anywhere on the floor, Shaq doesn't meet those qualifiers. Standing underneath a basket mouth breathing like a freight train waiting for something tohappen isn't skill.............

Dave, you just lost all credibility in this thread. You put Ming in your top 5? LMAO!!!

Mike

HWsMinis

Against Shaq?? No contest............. Had he been healthy and played agaisnt the Lakers, who knows and they are still the only team to take em' to seven.Shaq?? He was where again in the playoff scheme Mike? Must be at home emailing you his "stats"!!!

Congrats to all the Lakers fans... they took it with no problems..and Kobe can finally shut up all the people (including me) that said he can't do itwithout Shaq..

I still don't have to like himt hough..haha

Dave - I will disagree about Yao being in the top 5... while Yao has a little more than Shaq.. he's not all that great. I don't think Shaq is top 5,but neither is Yao.. I would not put either of them int he top 5 over Moses Malone..

Yes, Laker won, feels nice, accept that mini riot. I do look forward to next year already. Shaq is going to the Cavs, which will make the East interesting. Seeyou next year......at this time.

Seems strange how the winning teams fans (some of them) tend to riot and start fires, etc after a WIN. We live in a strange society, you'd think thelosing side would riot?

As much as I don't like Kobe, he's a baller. It was nice to see how excited he was/is at the buzzer at the end, giving the Lakers anotherchampionship. He jumped up and down like the first time getting a ring. Dude has the grooves, the moves, and the excitement. Not bad for a seasoned pro!
I woulda like to have seen Shaq go to Denver and see how ya felt!!! This guy getting passed around like a hot potato, toobad....... He goes to Cleveland and someone ELSE is the show again!!!

First off, congrats to the Lakers. #15! Kobe solidifying his place among the elite of all time.

Next, I'm still laughing about Dave placing Ming in his top 5 centers of all time.

Lastly, just listened to an interview with one of the Suns coaches. He wouldn't say for sure, because he's not allowed to, but there is another team inthe mix for Shaq. It may not be an automatic that he's going to Cleveland. The first arguement to that was that the Suns don't want Wallace'scontract.

Mike
HWsMinis
