It's just sometimes called May 2-4 as a reference to a 24 case of beer. It wasgranted to the 'plebes' as a holiday by Queen Victoria 100 and some odd years ago. The business owners at the beach here make a killing on May 2-4,then again about a week or 2 later when all the Americans show up. They come from Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Pennsylvania, NYState,....basically the Great Lakestates.
