I certainly have some interest in this car, but not near the "$140,000 costs estimate...My interest would be as a unique piece of Mattel history, like theaward for the one millionth car, etc.
I also think it looks better in person than these pics so far....but am interested in the same car soon sand bling.
Bruce
In my worst Borat impression. In my country...... the collectors...they go crazy for this piece.

This one....not so much.

I don't think it looks that terrible... and hey, it's for a good cause, remember. A bit gaudy, but stillkinda cool. Neat that Otto was involved.

All I can think of is Scott Jones signature block.... the chicks, they won't be fleeing quite as fast if you pulled out that piece of bling, I don'tthink.
Ok, I WILL buy the Red one for sure !!

BUT, that is NOT the car on the original HWs packaging ... very disappointed it isn't more Charger/Riviera-esque ... front end too "pointy", notsquared off and muscley ... no center line up the middle ...

Another GREAT idea ... shot all to hell ... courtesy of Mattel ... It just doesn't look anything like a Custom 68 should and they really drop the ball.. even the red one looks like crap.
Aww...c'mon. The casting itself isn't that terrible. Especially for a latter day HW....

As far as the bling charity car goes I for one would prefer to see it dunked into a chalice of crunk juice! Bleccch!
