My credit union doesn't like them either, they said something to the effect of it taking weeks to clear if I chose to deposit it. They also suggested cashing it at the P.O. and that'swhat I did with no problems.

Just to let everyone know .A U.S.Postal Money that we Canadians send to the U.S. is just that . A U.S. Postal Money order. All the Pink Money Orders have asmall U.S. symbol beside the money value. They should not be cashed anywhere else but at a U.S. Post office .

You go to any U.S. Post office ,once there go to the Counter .The person there will phone the Number on the back of the MO .It will be verified right overthe phone .You will recieve your cash right on the spot without ever any charges..

Alot of Banks ,Credit Unions may cash them as you can read some of the people have said .But there are Way too many banks that don't know what theyare doing in the U.S.
They screw them up and alot of times they want to charge you for cashing them .Alot of hassle when you don't need it .Just go to a Post Office.

TexKitty I dont Know about that .If it is in Can.$ the person sent you the wrong one .It sholud always have the U.S. symbol beside the $ value . So ifyour are accepting Postal Money Orders from Canadians you have to specify ,U.S.Postal Money Order. So when the person in Canada goes to the Post Office he canask for a U.S Postal Money Order. Especialy when that person is a first time buyer or has never Bought a MO before .

Boy that is alot of Typing !!!!

Hope this helps .U.S Postal Money Orders are Pretty Simple to Use !!! Thanks bob

Always Looking for Redline Beaters & Parts !!!!

Boy that is alot of Typing !!!!
LOL thanks for all the info, Bobby!
I've only had one Canadian money order to deal with, so I figured as long as I was at my credit union with a few other money orders, I'd give it a try. If I'd known they'd look at me like I had 2 heads, I wouldn't even have asked.
Oh, I didn't receive a Canadian money order. I was just asking that in case it made a difference which currency the funds were in. I didn't know thatthey were US money orders. I appreciate the info because now I can add that to my list of funds accepted.
