Sorry, but NHL is the hardest, most brutal sport there is. NFL protects the QB, NHL doesn't give damn. The NFL is so watered down, it shouldn't even be listed. MLB is tough, but 2 good arms and few bats, and your a contender. Plus MLB takes days off for whatever, NHL players get hit by cars, and dress for the game.

Sorry, but NHL is the hardest, most brutal sport there is.
That's not the question being asked in the poll. It's "what is the hardest sport to win a championship." Two very different things.

The NFL is so watered down, it shouldn't even be listed.
The guys who broke their legs last year and the others who have to consider retirement because of repeated concussions might disagree with you. The guy at the bottom of the scrum getting his eyes gouged and nads twisted might disagree with you. The NFL does protect QB's and yet some still had to leave games and miss part of the season because they got creamed.

I'm not taking anything away from hockey and it's toughness. I just don't think it's the slam dunk that some guys do.

I’m going to go with the NBA based upon this. Looking back over the last 20 years, there have been 7 different franchises that have won titles: LA, Boston, Chicago, San Antonio, Houston, Miami and Detroit. You can almost put an asterisk next to the Rockets since they filled the vacuum for the 2 years Jordan left. The other 3 major sports are 12, 12 and 14 if my math is correct.

In that time period, some very, very good teams walked away close but no cigar including some 90’s Sonics, Jazz, Knicks, Pacers and some fairly recent Mavericks, Kings, Nets and 76ers teams.

One thing I see mentioned a lot, including here, is that the act of hitting a baseball is the hardest thing in sports, and maybe it is. However, off the top of my head, I don’t see how it is any more difficult than, say, dunking a basketball, drilling a 50 yard field goal, shooting a moving puck into a goal, etc.

Kind of off topic, but for my money, the most difficult thing to do in sports are those dudes that run 2 hour and 10 minute marathons. That is flat out superhuman.

NFL All the other sports you have 7 games. You can have a bad day or 2. In the NFL you have no chance if you have an off day. 1 game thats it!! Better be on the top of the game. NFL HANDS DOWN!!
