Looks beautiful Larry...best of luck brother!!!
Thanks for the support and good words...You know how much the friendship has meant to me through the years. I will always have a guest room ready...well give me a year, after that you are all welcome to vacation in Oklahoma......Larry
Congratulations Larry it looks like a nice step up and fishing out the back door is almost as good as getting a pink 442 in the mail. I hope we will still see your smiling face at the conventions but if not, best of luck on the move and getting the place in order. It looks like a great place to live.
Jeff
As someone that grew up in the Phoenix area and would spend a couple of weeks in San Diego every year and still tries to make it over once a year or so - and we always love it - I have to admit that my first thought was ugh... But I've never lived there so I have no idea what it would be like on a day to day basis. I'm sure that Oklahoma will slow the pace down for sure and, like you said, the cost of living is probably half - and the thought of having that much land with water is awesome. The picture looks great - show us more! Congratulations!
And by the way, I don't want to speak for him, but I'm relatively sure that Mark was saying that he would prefer to live in an actual gutter than CA - I don't think that he was referring to Oklahoma as a gutter.
Edit: the minute I first posted this it dawned on me that my avatar pic was taken in Mission Bay - told you I love it over there!
Thanks again everyone. I sort of knew what Mark meant, but it was a great opportunity to tell a little more about my new home. Home they say "is where the heart is". Lori and I both grew up in Tulsa.
We have all of our Brothers and sisters and all of their kids there. Now we can host them all for the holidays. At any rate having 4 seasons will be a change and a challenge at times. Larry
Welcome to Oklahoma. My wife and I have lived near Tulsa since 99. Great place to raise a family.
Your first post...I am honored, welcome to the board. I will get in touch after the big move. Larry
