Re: Steering rig resto
Good to know I'm not the only one who sees potential in worn out Steering Rigs. I did two for Toy Story customs a few years ago. One was done up as the moving van from the first movie complete with all of the characters, Slinky made out of a stretched out ink pen spring, the loading deck that was let down, the correct "Eggman Movers" decals, rear doors open (well, cut out), etc. There was a tiny little yellow car inside the trailer when I got the truck off of TTP. It was modified and customized to look like R/C, with the Buzz and Woody figures from the action packs on top.
I even restored a Matchbox Dodge Caravan (early K-Car style, as seen in the movie) to go with it.
The second truck I did was the same model, only I turned the trailer into a flat bed to accommodate a pipe. This truck can be seen in Toy Story 2, when the toys try to cross the street while under traffic cones.
Great work on yours, man! Keep it up! Worn trucks need some lovin' too!
