Dave .. Karen is right .. if you end up having open heart you are going to feel like a kid again,<br>no more shortness of breath, etc. I speak from experience ... I was 45 when I had it done and<br>I also fooled around in denial before going in ... had it done on the 19th of December and was<br>home on Christmas day .. yes there is some discomfort but nothing you can't put up with .. I'm<br>alive ... would I do it again .. yes. The second day I was allowed to drive .. some guy towing a<br>boat rear ended me .. that didn't help. ....... Lots of rest before Thursday ... I'm sure you have<br>been told that .... and whatever the decision ... good luck and smooth sailing ... open heart is not<br>as bad as it sounds ... take it from one who knows. The worse part is the waiting. My thoughts<br>and prayers are with you. Keep us posted. <br>Kevin
