Very nice of you to do that Karen.Several of us at the firehouse donate our time on the weekends around the holidays to take firetrucks to our local mall andcollect toys for toys for tots.We usually pack a couple medic units full on Saturday`s and Sunday`s.We set the trucks in front of the entrances so people cangive as they are leaving the stores.It makes you appreciate what Christmas is all about.<br> Greg

Great idea Karen! Count me in on this one. Not having any children of my own I'm all for hooking some kiddies up! I was living in Montana many yearsago and a friend of mine had four boys. Funds were more than a bit tight in that household and I knew Santa wasn't going to be bringing much. I had a tenyear accumulation of track, curves, superchargers, etc. I went to Wally World and picked up a dozen Hot Wheels, (MOMC LOL) and a trainload of rechargablebatteries. I wrapped everything up and stopped by late on Christmas Eve when the boys were asleep. Of course I wasn't there Christmas morning but Ihelped make a wonderful Christmas.<br><br>Several years later I had to move from Montana and my friend Jim said stop by the Claim Jumper for some going away cocktails. I had some friends visiting andwe all went down for libations. We walked "downtown" and you could smell BBQ from about two blocks away. Jim had his custom smoker fired up andmade some unbelievable BBQ pork butts, potato salad, and all the fixin's. I knew there were going to be plenty of friends around but I wasn'texpecting all that. One of the most memorable, enjoyable afternoons/evenings ever. About 1/2 way through the evening I asked Jim how I could ever thank himfor all this. His response was "You did about two years ago on Christmas."<br><br>One of my favorite expressions is "It's better to give than to receive." Number two must be "what goes around comes around." A very nice contest indeed Karen. You may not believe this, but my 6yr old daughter and I purchased and delivered 3 new toys (Air Hogs helicopter, Mega BlocksBatmobile, and Mega Blocks Robot Kit) to our local ToysRUs three days ago (on Saturday) for the ToysforTots toy drive<img src="http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/smile.gif" alt="image">. Of course I have no picture as proof, but I have my word to offer. I couldtake a pic of my daughter in front of the ToysforTots bin at the store if you'd like. My daughter is realling getting into purchasing things for otherkids this year--really makes a father proud. Little does she know that her young heart's desire will be fulfilled this Christmas--she's getting akitten<img src="http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/eek.gif" alt="image"> I think I'm more excited about giving it than she'll beabout receiving it!!
