How long has Obama had "political" experience? He had been a Senator for 143 days when he started his campaign. Hell, he can't even talk thesubject when his teleprompter malfunctions. He doesn't have a clue "either". I have never been a flag waver for Bush. However, I shutter to thinkwhat Gore would have (or not have) done on 9/11. We haven't had another incident on our soil. He' no great President, got suckered into Iraq but thereyou go. Hillary was complaining that it took him too long to go after Osama in Iraq. They were bashing him for dragging his feet. Whomever they put in there, they will just be a puppet anyway to what Congress deicides he needs to do. The President is powerless or darn near that by the way this is all set up. He canmake a decision on what to do with the next intern, and that's about it.
-

Bruce, The fact that Obama has only been in office a short time is a selling point to voters. They don't see him as a "career" politician. They see him as a common man, stepping up to take on uncommon job...

Yes you're correct, there hasn't been on US soil since 9-11-01. I think it may be the fact we're in Afghanistan fighting the Taliban. I feel goinginto Afghanistan was a good decision. Thats where the 9-11 attackers came from. I don't think going into Iraq was a good decision. I also think since wehave troops in Iraq, the zealots are going there and attacking our troops. Having them fight our armed and prepared troops is a more even fight than lettingthem attack unarmed civilians here. I don't feel the Iraqi people feel that way though. We're slugging it out with the terrorists in their backyard.

Saddam was a thug plain and simple. His people lived under his barbaric government for decades. He's gone, good riddance. Why are we still there? We'respending money that is desperately needed here.
The bridge collapse in Minnesota is a good example of our deteriorating infrastructure in the US.

Some Americans still feel like like the 2000 election was a rip off. Then on top of that he's voted into a second term to cross his t's and dot hisi's and he's squandered his time. He thinks it's OK to tap phone lines with out a warrant, outs a CIA agent, watches the economy go to crap, and soon and so on. His contribution to stand with the American people against terrorists? He gives up golf. That's the kind of things I'm not happy about.

I feel if McCain is elected this will just continue, and that's why the word change is being thrown around so much lately. I'm far from being aliberal, if anything I consider myself a moderate. Sure Obama may lack the experience, but that also may be the reason he is naive enough to think he maysomehow be able to make a difference.......

-
I think both of these guys, would be bad for our country. Mccain would be another 4 years of Bush. Obama, i just don't like or trust him. Obama withHillary, as a running mate would win. Obama without Hillary, McCain will beat him. That's why i vote for the 3rd party. Not going to win, but i feelbetter, about whom i've voted for.

i'd have to see a slightly more reliable source of proof that obama is in bed with NOI other than a web blog stating an anonymous source for its info. ifit were true it would have hit mainstream and blown him out of the water. but hey, if you want to believe it bad enough, anything can be true.

I would never vote for any Muslim to be president of the U.S.A. Separation of church and state is a Christian principle which is inherent to Americanexperience. It allows for people to follow the religion of their choice. Or to follow no religion. It is entrenched in the Bill of Rights and theConstitution.Muslims believe in a Theocracy. Government and religion are one. The religon is the Muslim faith. All laws and politics are a direct reflectionof the Koran. The question is -Do you want the type of Government that is currently in place in every Muslim country in the world?I am not suggesting that Obamais a Muslim or even that he has Muslim ties. His position seems to be very confusing.---mike
