Correct, Sabres blew that one and Stempniak could've been had on the cheap. I believe he was the NHL player of the month as soon as he was on the Leafs he was HOT! Instead the Sabres ended up with Raffi Torres from Columbus who sucked so bad he didn't score one goal in almost 20 games. He was even a healthy scratch! At least he's not coming back... GO HAWKS!!!

I think you have to be patient with Torres & he might find his same game he had with the Oilers. I always liked the way he played & he does have some skill, good shot, works hard, & can skate. He's the type of player who plays hurt & I think that's why he wasn't producing after the trade to Buffalo. I'd take him on the B's any day if the price was right.

Don't have the luxury of time with Torres. Prertty sure he won't be resigned. Also heard he had an issue with his wrist, didn't disclose it to anyone as it was not part of the physical they take upon completing a trade and that pissed off local brass. So its basically, "'adios muchachos!" Colin

My kid is so JACKED UP today it is not even funny!!! If you only knew the stories about what Kane's father did in terms of preparing his kid for hockey you'd really shake yer head. I better every other guy is gonna say they were his teammate at one time or another!!! Awesome game! Colin

Congrats to the Hawks on their Cup win. 22 playoff games played. 15 wins to get the coveted Stanley Cup. And those are Hard fought..tough games. The toughest Pro playoffs bar none. I was lucky enough to watch Kaner play his Jr hockey here with the London Knights. 49 year drought has been quenched.. Now if only the Dang Leafs could win the cup.. <img src="http://www.ezboard.com/image/posticons/pi_freak.gif" width="20" height="20"> .
