If you wanna sign the big boys...you must have the money to do so.
Step up big daddy!
Go Angels!!!
Jeff,
If Pujols hits the homers, his wife calls the shots! Read an article and the main reason they left besides the $254M would be the Card first offer was only for 5 years. According to her they never wanted to leave, they are very active in the St Louis community and run a very large charity to which they themselves have contributed immensely. So is it the money or the lack of commitment by the club?
If he stays healthy i think it will be ok(i hope so)My wife pays 300.00 every year to go to one of his diners,if i made that kind of money would i live in St.Louis or SOCAL,plus AL.DH.I think he made the correct choice. Not that St.Louis is a bad place.

I don't think you'll see much change. He's opening a new market, kinda'. Once he's moved in with the Angels, Angels fans will likely want to "retro" the Pujols collectables. The ones that love him, will want him, plain and simple. There MIGHT be a small initial drop, but in my opinion, it'll re-value pretty quick.
Jeff!

5 years offered by the Cards and the Angels gave him 10...money was the main thing probably.
Playing in sunny Southern California had much to do with it too.
