I dont think this person even deserves to be referred to as a ex-police officer. He was a scumbag pretending to be one as far as im concerned. It also pissesme off how the media loves to point out he was a "police officer". People love to make a fuss that someone was in law enforcement when they dosomething terrible. But we never see these media pansies praising the police for good deeds. No wonder most people have no respect for the police and thinkthat all cops are violent racists that harass people for a living. Now id like to see the media put all this effort towards broadcasting stories day in and dayout about the men and women that do their jobs with honor and integrity and loose their lives in the process. But then who wants to hear about officer JohnBrown that gave his life while raiding a meth lab or was gunned down by a fugitive during a traffic stop. Yeah thats boring news.<br><br>But as far as this scumbag goes its not my job to decide. As pointed out earlier its the jury's job to make the ultimate decision concerning his fate.Personally i think a murder, rape, or child molestation conviction should carry a mandatory death penalty and that public hangings need to be brought back sopeople can see first hand what happens when you are tried and convicted of these crimes. Lethal injection is too quick and easy. Not too mention all thosedrugs they pump you full of cost money. Get some rope and build some wooden platforms in front of the courthouses. Upon being convicted bring them out and hangthem. No BS sitting on death row. No tax dollars spent housing them. Just quick deliberate punishment/public humiliation for their crimes. Problem solved!<br>

Due process does have it's place. You can't just take them out behind the woodshed, not today, not with this system. West Memphis Three ring any bells.Having said that, if you do take a life, and it's not an 100% accident, you do 100% deserve to repay that debt. But, I think the ole system needs anoverhaul. I think that death penalties should be PPV events, and the money paid to the state where the execution is broadcast from. If WWE and MMA can reapyour entertainment dollars, so should this event as well. Isn't being on death row more expensive to the taxpayers than being in the general population?<br><br>I say save us all some $$$ and toss him in with the genpop and let them sort him out. I always love the responses to these questions. The outrage. The cry for justice. No amount of pain will suffice for this a**h***. How about this. It probably won't surprise anyone here that I am against the death penalty.<br><br>You don't show people that killing is wrong by killing people. All we do by killing another human is to pile tragedy on top of tragedy. It accomplishesnothing, other than making the State a murderer. Countless survivors of victims have said that the execution of the perpetrator just made them feel worseabout the whole mess.<br><br>Another problem with Capital Punishement: it is irreversible. There have been many instances of death row inmates who were spared at the very last moment whenthe real perpetrator had a rush of guilt and came forward. And there are others have been murdered who were later proved innocent.<br><br>It has also been shown that it actually costs MORE to put someone to death than to keep them locked up for the rest of their lives.<br><br>So my opinion: jail for the rest of his life, with no chance of parole.<br><br>And again, as I have stated before - I advocate compassion for all, even murderes; they too have their story.<br><br>Greg
