Tom, I'm looking forward to seeing "The Scarecrow". Two of my friends - who have never even met each other - have been talking it up for years, and now with the DVD release I'm sure I'll get to see somebody's copy.

I moved to Atlanta in 1987 and saw "Song of the South" in a theater at that time. In recent years I've seen pirated VHS copies at the localflea, but I can wait until a complete and legal DVD comes out. Discussions on IMDB about eventual release abound. --phil

So, who has actually seen Song of the South?
I saw Song of the South in the theater, when I was a kid (early 70's)
As far as home video, it was released overseas at some point but not in the US.

Well, I am glad that some of you guys have seen Song of the South; I thought it was terrific. A year or so ago, my film critic pal had a radio show whereLeonard Maltin came on and discussed how Disney was really dragging their feet on a DVD release of Song of the South. So, last I heard, it wasn't going tohappen---ToM
