Sure they eat the meat, butwhat's the point? It's so much easier to take on Bambi with a freakin rifle.
No different than fishing. Fishing is probably worse...I love fishing...

LOL

Doesn't your question answer itself?

Many people feed their families with deer meat. At least around here. Beef is expensive.
I'm not sure what makes them different than the person who stops off at McDonalds on the way home.

That's what adults do.

My son-n-law was going to mount this buck from my back yard till he lost half his rack. Jerky?? About a dollar down at 7/11. Sport or hobby?? Hunt something that has a chance, sniping from a shed from a mile away with a scope ain't sport, that's Lee Harvey Oswald stuff!! McDonalds burger?? SURE baby i'm all for that, but i'm not gonna shoot a standing cow and put it's head on mywall all for the sake of it's meat!!

Yep, but i won't kill em' with a rifle cowering in some shed. You had it right, hunting with a hammer, ya get close enough, ya win, ya don't ya getgored, play it on an even field!! Hey Pete, WHOOO!!!!!!!!

So taking a deer with a rifle is worse than how they kill mass produced meat?
I dont agree with hunting just for a trophy, but some of the best times I've had with family has been Pheasant hunting in Nebraska.... 4 generations of afamily there (Me, dad, grandpa, great grandpa)...and what we shoot during the week is what we eat for dinner. If we dont get any birds, ham sandwiches fordinner!
There's also something about being out in nature, walking the fields with two feet of snow on the ground, the dogs working in front of you quartering backand forth then BAM, they lock in on point. If you've never gone hunting, you're missing out on a true nature experience.
And however ironic it is, I cant stand fishing....I hate seeing something die slowly like that!
