I instantly knew something lookedkind 'phishy' and x'd it out. I also recently had something pop up offering a Java update. That too I x'd out. If I don't seek and ask forit, I don't want it. If it seems important, I'll go to theirs, or a download site such as cnet or downloads.com or whatever.<br><br> Personal info is what they're after, pass-words, accounts numbers, etc....<br><p> I heard on the news at lunch (Wed 17th) that Microslop will likely have a patch available this afternoon for download from their site!<br><br> Andy<img height="15" src="http://redlinesonlinemessageboard.yuku.com/domain/bypass/images/pacman.gif" width="15" alt="image"><br></p>

^ Andy, that sounds like it could <em>possibly</em> be any one of a myriad of rogue anti-spyware/anti-virus trojans that have been going around like crazy. One of the most common is Antivirus 2009, is its clones AntivirusXP, Antivirus 2008, etc, etc.... all scams to get you to buy their "service" toclean up the "spyware" they found. FAKE FAKE FAKE! Some even go so far as to disable your screen saver and give you fake BSOD's. <img src="http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/eyes.gif" alt="image"><br><br><br>Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is one of the best tools I've found for rooting out those @#$%^&*ing rogues. It was acting funny after going to profile pages here as Andrea mentoned.
