Denver teams are perfect at "flash in the pan years" unfortunately! Rockies gotswept in the World Series, and followed up with a terrible season.. Bronco's (who I HATE), had 2 glory years, and have been fairly flat since.. Av's..had a few glory years when they first arrived in Denver.. and are flat since...<br><br>I hope the Nugg's can not fall into the Denver norm..and become something, but I won't be shocked if they flop next season...<br><br>GO MAGIC! lol<br>

At this point? It's all gravy and I hope it will go seven, as I love the finals!!! Howard and Kobe cancel each other out, the Lakers bench will prevail,when Luke Walton drills Denver on their own floor for ten? That's DEEEEPPPP!!!! Fish can head butt someone out and maybe Phil will slip Gasol a foreignobject, put em' in a cage match and let em' gooo!!!!!
Howard will get his, but those other stiffs, can sit around the and jack 3's all day long-GO FOR IT. This game will come down one simple thing, rebounding.Olando lives by the 3, but if your good, your shooting 40%, that means out of every 10 shots, 6 was waiting to be rebounded and scored the other way. The Sunsalready showed everyone, you can't live with 3.......
We'll see... I think when you just have a couple of players that can shoot the 3, you can't live by it.. but when all of your team can hit the 3..well, who defends all those? Sure, the Lakers will get some rebounds...but overall their rebounding wasn't great against the Nugg's.. and the Nuggsarent a good rebounding team.. Orlando has better rebounding, a dominant big man.. and can rain 3's. If the Lakers went to 7 against Houston and 6 againstDenver (of which a few games were only decide by a few points) I don't know that they'll be able to beat Orlando.<br><br>Time will tell...Odom and Vujachickbetter step thier games up, Fish (the only player I like on the Lakers), really needs to step it up..and even with all that,I don't think it will be enough.<br><br>Using the 40% shot/rebound thought:<br><br>40% 3's = 12 points on every 10 shots...<br>6 rebounds equals 6 opportunities for those missed shots. LAKERS would have to hit 100% of those shots to get the same 12 points... and that for sure won'thappen....<br><br>so, even if the MAGIC got 0 offensive rebounds (not likely) on thier 3's, the lakers would have to shoot 100% (impossible) to tie the Magic 3 ball shots...I like my odds, I'll take the Magic in 6...
Tom, I don't know how your math works, but the game you just tallied isn't a game the Lakers will be playing (2nd chances points, without considerationfor the 1st, changes the math dramatically). FYI, Orlando does rain 3's, but guess who's shooting a better % in the playoffs? That's right, theLakers. I pray that Orlando doesn't change a thing, and sits behind the arc and fires away, night after night. The Lakers have plenty of guys who knowwhere the paint is.
I know that 2nd chance points won't be the decision maker.. but I think the Magic can hold thier own against the Lakers, and the 3 ball will kill them,even if they miss 60% of them, and the Lakers shoot a better % of them (better % doesn't always = more points)<br><br>I think it will be a great series no matter what, but I'm still sticking with the Magic in 6.. what can I say, I hate the Lakers and like to root for theunderdgo anyway!
Tom, I agree with you that it will be a great series. I'm usually one to root for the underdog too, but not when the Dodgers or Lakers involved! Lakers in5 sez me. That and $5 will juuuust get ya' a venti-fancy coffee at s-bux!<br><br>And btw, for all of you who claimed LeBron to be a classy guy - how classy was it to disappear after the Cav's defeat? Hmmm? He's fast, he's deadly, he wears all black and has a silvergun and silver bullets on his belt, but at the other end of the street? Matt Dillion/Lakers and the outcome is always the same! Too many X-factors on theLaker's side.......
