This creature scared the $#&^ outta me as a youngster.<br>Although, the original 1979 Alien creature tops my list,<br>and we all know what it looks like, this 'lo-tech' pic of actor,<br>David McCallum, starring in the ORIGINAL OUTER LIMITS,<br>in the episode entitled, ' The Sixth Finger,' is incredible.<br>No CGI digital mumbo-jumbo needed.<br>Check out this episode if you can.<br>(No expressed 'spoiler-alerts' expressed or implied.......<img src="http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/happy.gif" alt="image">)<br><img src="http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c79/FabFaux/6thfinger.jpg" alt="image"><br>
I thoroughly enjoyed Cloverfield. Great concept, well done.<br><br>The Creeper from Jeepers Creepers (1&2) is my fave. What could be more frightening than a creature that can NOT be killed?
<p>one of the best "creatures" is from the original nosferatu movie. It was released in the the 20's & is a silent movie it was the originalDracula. Alien came into my mind first.

Its remains were fossilized, telling us how long it'd been there, and we are supposed to assume thatthe creature had, too, been infected by the 'alien,' which also tells the audience alot about the alien (how old the species is, etc.). I really likethe incredibly unique characteristics the Jockey has and its notably freaky appearance and size. Its simple presence in the film really gives depth to analready well-developed story by creating an unexplored and strange universe in a really passive manner ("oh, by the way, there's alot of other weirdstuff out there we're not going to get into").
