<strong>Some of those Crown Victoria police cars have caught fire when rear ended and many police unions now will NOT allow their department to order theseCrown Victorias. There are been a number of deaths . I know that modifications have been made to the car. Perhaps, it's an issue with not enough gasmileage and/or too much polution and Ford has to stop making them because it costs too much to modify them. Or maybe they just don't sell enough of them tomake a good profit.</strong><br><br>That problem was fixed,and a is now a non issue.<br><br>They are a full frame,full size car,so yeah..mileage will be no where near a Hybrid Altama. But the cops want a big strong car that is going to take alicking,and come out ticking..<br><br>Ford was still making a very healthy profit on that car,but there are other powers are at work here.<br><br>.
