Great thread & insight on this gaming thing Greg. The last system I had was the first Playstation but before that, Sega Genisis was my big addiction ingaming. It's been awhile but I've always loved Sonic the Hedgehog. I played that game over & over until I finally mastered it after about 4 monthsafter getting it. I will still fire it up every now & then & my 3 yr old daughters even love it, asking to play it constantly. The only real games Igot into besides Sonic where ALL the EA NHL hockey games which I loved on Sega but didn't enjoy the Playstation EA's as much. I still think theclassic Nintendo was still one of the best all time systems ever. One day, as I'm sure in time my daughters will want a new system, I'll find out whatthe new technology in gaming is offering but for now, my Sega's still getting hrs of use.

My son is 19 and has done this many times - young peoples "circadian rhythyms" are different than adults so they tend to stay up later.
Rather see them playing video games than out drunken driving or worse - let 'em play - harmless!

Kevin
I play a lot of racing games- just because, well I can do stuff that isn't possible , or is irrational in real life. Like the Burnout Series- it's likedemolition derby+street racing combined on steroids. Or taking a turn so fast in Forza 2 (a driving simulator) that my $750000 ferrari is less than an inchfrom a concrete wall.- I would not do anything I do in those games in real life. it would be incredibly stupid of me to try- especially since I can't seetrue 3-D- i.e. no depth perception (I'm blind in one eye)
I've tried war games like halo, call of duty, etc. , but I can't remember the button sequences.
