Well, here's my entry. It started out as an orange Custam AMX with a bent cowl from someone here on the board. I straightened the cowl, added a spoilerfront and rear from parts I harvested off of a beater Light My Firebird. I cut the hood and added a Sugar Caddy engine and then, after a bad paint job on mypart, broke down and had Rooster paint it for me. This is part of my "Spoilers that never were" series. Our own Sverrefehn has my Olds 442 andCorvette I made. Someday I will get around to doing some more "Spoilers that never were." Iknow there have been others around that did some incredible Spoiler concepts on a MKIII and I think a Custom Police Cruiser as well as a Charger. Hmmmm. Haveto think about that some more. I wanted to Spoiler-i-fy a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow but something about it not being American Muscle made me rethink that....of course, there is that little old Evil Weevil.... Hey all..<br>Yep ! I plated and shot that Apple Green Custom Vette, It use to be that blue one on Chucks picture above the red 442( Thanks Zman for posting the pic of thatcar ) I also did that Icy Custom AMX, and the red 442 spoiler which is now wearing an Icy pink and is Very clean ! ! just like that Apple Vette.. I know Steveis VERY HAPPY after recieving these cars from me..<br><br>Chuck.. are you happy with the way your AMX turned out after you recieved it from Rooster's ? Harold Dear customized this car. That is what I mean as the samebuilder of the fleetside is the same person that did the Corvette. I can assure of this. I speak to him almost once a week. I know for sure he is the builderof it. We were just talking about it recently as what made me think to post it on this thread. I know the one you are thinking of. It is blue. The owner(Steve) of the blue one, is also the same owner of this one. (I wish he would see this and show both) They are completely two different cars. As for platingit, this one is all polished not plated. Harold and I talked about this car when he was building it. He in fact was going to build me one. I just have to getthe guts to send him the one I have and let him do it.
yup, the apple green is not mine. You can see the different treatment I gave to the rear spoiler and also I used a slight offset on the axle to accommodate thelarger wheels. I treated the engine compartment slightly differently as well. Preston also has a T-Top vette I never quite finished as well. plus I had aconvertible spoiler Vette as well. I am happy with the plating and paint you did on the AMX. Never had a problem with anything you have done for me. I justhaven't ranted on and on about being satisfied. Maybe I should start being relentless about how happy I am with something when it goes right!<br>CS
