Milo, I'm sure virtually everyone here regards you as another valued member of the collecting community. And your questions are valid. But why don't you wait until you have the car in your hand? What's the point of all this speculation when you haven't even SEEN it yet? You might take one look at it and decide it's a repaint. Don't you think that possibility exists?

Just wait. Then you can show the car to other members for their opinions (either by pictures or in-person) and take it from there. I think you would get more cooperation that way rather than continuing to contribute to the joke this thread is becoming. You don't need to make 25 posts with 35 edits before you've even seen the car. Just wait. It's a reasonable approach, no?

You're way more valuable to collectors than a fan like me who isn't actively collecting. Your questions and opinions matter. Just maintain your credibility and take it one step at a time, my friend.

It's not difficult to make a perfect, undectable repaint forgery, we only catch the obvious ones. There are already too many undocumented "rare"and "prototype" and "unique" cars floating around with no documentation and it's only going to get worse"

I have to be careful with my posts so don't think I am going to far with these questions anyone.

How can "worse" hold true when we know not to buy these cars and the one's that do buy satisfied?

Also, does that mean that undocumented legit "prototype","rare" etc...redlines have no place in the redline market?

Just wondering?

Y'know, I gotta jump in here and say a few words for Milo because I think his enthusiasm is being misinterpreted here, or becoming tiresome to some...

I've only met the man on a couple of occasions, but I have friends who are familiar with him. And I'll say that while he is, personality-wise, a little'out there' (and I mean that in the most complimentary of ways - I like 'out there' people!) he is otherwise a fun person to be around, andthought of as one of the "good guys" in the hobby. My impression is that he gets very excited about stuff, and really wants to talk about it, andtalk about it, and.... you get the idea. I don't sense that he's the type of guy to try and make a killing because he has an uber-rare car. He justreally likes the cars and gets very excited about them - or at least that was my impression.

Oh, and Milo, I have an impossible schedule right now, but if there's any way we can meet so I can look at the car once you get it, I'd be happy to doso.

Can we merge this thread with Greg's thread and call it day yet?

Milo, how about you just wait and let the car ride on it's merit, before we try and rewrite history now? This is a by case basis, at this point, solet's just stick with yours. That will make it much easier to follow along with. While we're at it, where did your seller get this car? How long has heowned it? What history does he know of it? Are you just hoping/wishing or have you tried to establish a scenario in which this might actually hold water? You've been here long enough to know, what you should be doing and certainly long enough to know what you shouldn't be doing. (Your doing thelatter-FYI) 6 pages now, and I would bet 40% plus are you words trying to make us believe in unicorns. Until you have it in hand, it's better to let itslide. If and when you can state otherwise, it's a pretty pointless exercise. True, we've been wrong from time to time, (nobody bothered to tell usabout the Mexico Ops,) but other than that, we've smelled the best out. Good luck, but without it in hand, why bother?

Just an aside, and this is an honest question, how does a particular car become "documented"? I have seen this tossed around in this post and Idon't think any of the cars in my collection are documented....yet they are real and original, so could someone explain.

As far as your camaro goes, gut says no, but I know to never say never in this hobby, and my fingers are crossed for you!

I believe regular production redlines in the blister pack are documented by that fact
that they are sealed in the bp. Anyone else care to chime in?

Thank you Jamie for the kind words.
