The 71s are OK. Slightly modified hood design with then,but the built in headlight killed them for me.
But those old Blizzards are very cool,and that 2nd pic of the 70 399 with the bit of Blizzard striping around the bottom of the hood is a beaut!

I wondered where you went! I don't come to this side too often. Nice thread!
It's funny, they talk about redlines once in a while on the vintage sled site I visit.
The vintage sled world is much smaller. I've seen many of the sleds pictured above in person.
This first photo is this winter's runners & show sleds, and I sold a couple of them.

The Columbia took me 2 years to restore, mostly looking for the right engine.
The Viking, blue Raider, and the white Raider in the left rear are all original.
The white '73 Raider behind the Columbia my father purchased new.
The black "Bandit" Raider I built almost 30 years ago from a basket case.
Tha blue Manta below is one of 2 that were blue from the factory.

yup....those Sno Pony's blow my mind as they look like they'd tip over if the wind hit them from the side never mind trying to corner one. Who knows, maybe that race sled had a top speed of 40 or less? Forget about catching any air on one, might as well make a wish before breaking the wishbone.

They are amongst the all time classic Sleds. Years ago I was riding with a local who had a TT. It was a beauty..all cleated and picked up. We were on this little local ...unmarked...trail,and he pointed to a treed hill,and said there's a trail up there too. I looked,and just shook my head.."What trail?.."..lol. That was all he needed..away he went. like a snake slithering up a tree..he wound his way up that hill,around the trees,and a 30' rooster tail behind him..lol. I'll never forget it.

Nabbed this old Majorette at a show a couple weeks ago.
It was all of 50 cents..lol.
It's surprisingly all there!

The best one's are when they sink'em. Although with all the power they have now, it rarely happens anymore.

I think that's a Nordic Majorette. The high back seat is the same that came on the Olympics. The TNT's had the rounded black hump at the rear.

It looks like that Majorette is the same casting as the more current one? I found this one:

We had what we called 'pond runs' back in 1977, unfortunately no one took pics as all the spectators were drinking instead. We did this the Sat before Easter and the water was cold. The Kawasakis were the best at it, I remember the Artic Cats always sinking, you had to shut them off quick, the water was maybe 3-4' deep in most spots and they used an old tractor to yank them out...

Found out one of our members is pretty heavy in the vintage scene, also found a vintage racer lives around 10 miles from me...it's almost June but I still can't get enuff of them...here is a beauty and I so love the color scheme on these...
