It was a cop-out on my part, and I apologize for the "hatefest" slur.... I was out of line.<br><br>But if you look back in my posts, you'll find I fairly presented my side of the argument, without a single derogatory remark about those on the other sideof the debate (except for the "hatefest" slur...). In turn, I got many names and labels thrown back at me. I love a good heated debate, but when itbecomes a name-calling contest, it's not a debate any more.<br><br>And since I'm on the subject of name calling... Kitty... emo kid?? I had no clue what that meant so I had to Google it... and of all the names and labelsthat were placed on me in this thread, that was the harshest of all. Okay, I have my Notepad file open, ready to post a response, but I feel this one needs it's own separate response and needs to come first. The sooner thebetter, for the sake of my friendshp with Greggerbug.<br><br>The Emo Kid comment was an attempt to get your attention and hopefully engage you in discussion to get a feel for what's up with you lately. You'vebeen quite somber and I miss Wacky Greg. Obviously there are a LOT of definitions of what emo, or more specifically, "emo kid" means.<br><br>The most recent definition is the kid who lives on MySpace. He (using masculine version for this example) dyes his hair black and has those swoopy bangs likethat queeny guy who got the boot from American Idold earlier tonight. It helps hide his eyes, which he has darkened with makeup. He likes to wear blackclothing because it suits his mood. Oh, woe is me. Woe is the world. He has a fixation on moody emotional stuff. He thrives on being miserable. He's aloser and it's his way of copping out or being different. Right, just as different as the other 5 million just like him in this country.<br><br>Another version of emo is the disaffected punk kid, who doesn't really care for punk rock but likes the look. He also is a moody sod and likes to wearblack and listen to Korn over and over.<br><br>Emo can also be a style. Pipe-leg pants that went out of style, with the low rise so they show butt crack when you bend over. Black in colour, of course. Itdoesn't take a lot of dedication like goth does. Being goth takes a lot of effort and work, as well as costs more in makeup alone.<br><br>The way I was using it in this case was more akin to "Come on, you're being a drag lately. I want my Greggerbug back."<br><br>Greg, I'm sorry that I hurt your feelings. That was not my intention at all.
