Drugs.......drugs, drugs, drugs. Well first things first. When considering legalization of them one must remember marajauana is not the only drug out there.We'd all like to think drug users are all spirit loving hippies sitting in their den watching their lava lamp and listening to Jefferson Airplane. Butthats just a small segment of drug user. When it comes to drugs pesonally i think legalizing them is the only sensible thing to do if we hope to eliminate drugdealers and drug related crimes and the public safety threats drugs like meth pose to communities where its manufactured. But i thought to myself about a greatdeal of other things youd have to implement to make a drug legal society function properly. Its quite complicated and im not sure if it would even be feasible.Allow me to play the devils advocate with the issue. Heres some things youd have to consider if you were to legalize drugs.....<br><br>Now if you legalize drugs it requires more than just a "ok its legal so lets get pharmaceutical companies to start making it" type of deal. First youneed to make laws pertaining to their use and train law enforcement how to enforce those laws. You would have to make certain activities like driving, underage use, use around children and schools, use in public in general, and going to work under their influence illegal. Basicly the only legal way to use it is inyour own home when your children arent on the premises (if you have them). This would be an impossible law to enforce. And youd have to devise machines thatwould be able to verify if someone was in fact "stoned" (just like a breathalyser can confirm your intoxicated). Parents would have to really becomeresponsible about telling their children how friggin dangerous stuff like coke, heroin, meth, etc. really is. Which an alarming number of parents just arentready for that type of responsibility (why the hell did they have kids to begin with?) Now wed have to accept there are going to be alot of casualties andlives ruined by legal use of hard drugs. It just wouldnt be morally right for the manufacturers of these drugs to not have to assume responsibility for this.They would have to donate a bulk of the profits back to society for use towards public education since its obvious most parents wouldnt be up to the task. Theschool system is becoming the substitute for parental upbringing so i feel that schools would be doing a bulk of the educating when it came to this issue.Theres far more problems to consider if you were to legalize drugs but these are some of the bigger ones.<br><br>So in theory it would solve a lot of problems. But it may open the door for other ones as well. Thoughts on this?<br><br>Oh yeah and legalization of prostitution is long overdue. Now thats a true victimless crime. As long as the girls/men are doing it on their own free will andbeing paid generously for it.
