<p>Michael, I agree with you on some points, but smoking anything is really nasty to your lungs. Thinking back to my toking days, I remember desperate times ofgathering up every bit of residue I could find to mix with whatever few flecks of leaves I could harvest from underneath the sofa cushions and I realised justhow much of that type of residue ended up in my lungs. At the time, I didn't care, but I do now. I do not feel that weed in itself leads to worse drug use;to me, that rests within the potential of the person, not the drug. Someone wishing for that much of an escape is going to do it no matter what. They'lldrink cough syrup and/or mouthwash if they get that desperate.</p><p>Even so, I think no worse of marijuana than I do alcohol. Both are bad for your body. Alas, we are humans and tend to have need to escape via chemicalmeans.</p><p>Justin, your MySpace "interpretation" was a hoot! I can read between the lines and I can tell that some things you said via email before are still current. Noteasy to do, I'm sure. I agree on the prostitution thing. If it weren't for tight-assed right wingers (yeah, I went there this time) and the "weneed to teach them to love themselves" faction from the left wing (went there too!) it would be much easier to discuss the subject of legalisation ofprostitution.</p><p>It's sickening how many of those to the right are against it, yet use such "services" themselves. Or they do the tap dance in the men'sroom thing (yup, went there now) all while acting like they'd like to stone to death any of "those" people (prostitutes, gays). They are wellaware of the tax revenue angle but that doesn't cut it when they're expending so much energy on self-righteousness.</p><p>On the other end of the spectrum, I do agree that some women need a big dose of self respect to get out of that business, but there are plenty of women whoare in that line of work because they make a lot of money. There is a key about a hand's width or so from the center of the main key set that should beanywhere from 2-4cm wide and either regular height or shaped like a backwards "L." On it should be the word "Enter" and possibly a littlearrow symbol. That is your Enter key, aka a carriage return. You use it occasionally to divide up longer posts into what are called paragraphs. To quote thegreat philosopher Brad Hamilton, "Learn it. Know it. Live it."</p><p>Back to Justin and back to the drug topic. Justin, there is a way to tell if someone is under the influence. It's a blood test. They test for THClevels. There are guidelines that vary from state to state, I believe, that determine what level is considered as being currently under the influence. Someplaces use similar methods for alcohol-related DUI offenses. For example, in Texas, you are given the option of taking a breathaliser. You can refuse it, butthen you get escorted to the police station with your hands cuffed, almost always behind your back. Then you have a choice: do the breathaliser there, allow ablood test, or be tossed in the little room where they check on you every 15 minutes or so. In some places, they will get an immediate court order to do ablood draw. If you refuse that, you will be tied to a board and your blood taken forcefully. Then, chances are that the judge you eventually see will not likeyou very much and issue additional fines for people paid with tax dollars having to deal with your idiot ass. You know how those drunken idiots are dealt withoccasionally on the show <em>COPS</em>, right? If you get too unruly, you'll be on video tape shown to that judge saying something along the lines of"don't tase me, bro!"</p><p>Note: I've never been arrested for DUI, but I know from when I was arrested and put in the same room used for those under influence of anything. It wasfor a misdemeanour and is not even on my record. Not a good experience no matter how you look at it.</p><p>I'm not at all in favour of legalisation of all drugs that currently are illegal. Those were made illegal for very good reasons. Here's where I pulla sneaky one and tie it back into the death penalty discussion: In my opinion, the death penalty should be assessed to those who have been busted more thanonce for the making of meth. If you sell an amount considered enough to be charged with possession with intent to distribute (in other words, more than just aweekend party for you and your lover, goat or whatever), you should be forced to a minimum of one year doing labour in prison. Second office, ten years, hardlabour. Third offense, third strike - yer out! Death penalty. The same should go for equally-hard drugs. The labour done should go towards paying for their ownfeeding and housing, learning trades so that they have the means to get an actual JOB after being released, and most of all, to go towards programmes to helpget habitual users of those drugs off them.</p><p>Caught smuggling drugs into the country? Immediate death penalty. Do not pass GO. Go straight to the Grand Jury, staffed by a Judge. If it can be shown,such as on video tape, that you brought drugs into this country, were stopped and searched and anything more than a party bag for your weekend is found (nobreaks in the tape), thank you for playing, ta ta, yer outta here.</p><p>One last, but I feel very important, note: Has anyone heard from Dave or know his whereabouts?</p><p>Dave's not here, man. Kitty- Yep i know theres ways to test for drugs in your bloodstream. The comment i made was simply showing how there would be a need for a portable machine totest for traces of these drugs should drugs become legalized. I doubt law enforcement would be capable of dragging all offenders in for a blood test if drugswere legalized. This would tie up police in a big way if they had to drag in X amount of suspected folks under the influence on a daily basis. Youd have todevelop a way to test for levels while out in the field. Thats what i was getting at.<br>
