...And do you know that this 51-year old SoCal boy has NEVER experienced snow in his life?!? It really looks gorgeous - sometime in my life I want to see snowfalling!

Greg
Hey Greg! It's really nice when you're in your nice warm house way out in the country in the middle of nowhere and you got the fire goin' andit's a blizzard and you wonder if it'll blow down the house and then the power goes out and suddenly you're livin' like a pioneer! Down to thecreek 500 ft away through 3 ft of snow! Can't beat it! Greg, I'm shocked!
All this time I thought you were a well-rounded individual.
Funny how we are all so different. People in Southern California grew up without snow, and can't imagine it in their lives..........and here I can'timagine life (well, the holiday season anyway) without it. Like alot of us, I also wish it would go away in January.
Growing up making snow angels, playing king of the hill, having snowball fights, building snow forts and snowmen, attempting to ski, going sledding......allpart of my childhood and I wouldn't have had it any other way.
I just couldn't imagine not having snow in winter. That's what winter is all about. I couldn't imagine spendingChristmas south of the equator where it's SUMMER! Or even in a state like California where it's hot at Christmas time. Christmas carols justwouldn't be the same if you couldn't sing about snow falling and sleigh rides and keeping warm by the fire. I love being able to come in from thebitter cold and warming up with hot chocolate and sitting by the window watching the snow fall. Greg, you're really missing out having never seen snow.Maybe one year Diane will take you to NY for Christmas and you will be able to experience snow there.

BTW, the snow is all gone here now. The rain washed it all away.

~Karen
Yuppers... I agree with all of you... it does make me somewhat "one-dimensional" weatherwise. And I've never known Christmas to be anything otherthan warm and sunny... Di and I were at first going to go to her sister's in Buffalo, but then the plans got changed and we're going to herparent's in Florida instead!! So I missed my first shot at a snow experience, yet again, and will have another steamy Christmas!

Greg
