Needles in the finger and all. The splinter hurt, but those needles hurt way worse. I was screaming when the doc poked in the needles. He asked me to try and not scream so I don't scare the other patients.
In the mood of JAWS..I can beat that..

My leg after the angle grinder incident..

I was working on some 12 gauge strainless, trying to cut some 1/2" X 1/2" pieces out of the corners with my little 5" Makita, and a Zip wheel. Of course I had the guard off,and I had all my protective gear on..shorts, running shoes, and tube socks.
The grinder grabbed at the end of the wheel, and flipped out of my hand, and down into my calf, and then fell into my sock, wrapped around it,and started working on my ankle. Of course I can never keep the switch on when I'm using it,but that time it wouldn't shut off..

Once I got it off,and the bleeding started,I grabbed 2 towels, and we headed to the local Emerge. By the time we made the 20 minute drive, I was leaving a trail behind me as I walked into the Emergency. Triage nurse took a look at my leg,and cleared out the poor old gal that was in the treatment room..

Freezing went OK,then they put a big fricken medical tournequette (Sp?) on my leg. Like a big blood pressure band. Then they proceeded to crank it up to 200 PSI,to try and stifle the blood flow so Doc could stitch me up. That pain was waaaay worse than the cut..lol. I was pulling up the sheets, and trying for the Operating table stuffing..lol.

It was pretty nasty for a few days. Luckily the wheel missed muscle and bone, and tendons.
