Re: Any Vintage Sled Heads Here???
So lets go technology...compare the styling between an Alouette Super Brute from 1974 and then nothing again like it til 1990 Yamaha Phazer...also a pic of the BLUE MAX 650 Speedway...I was 10 or 11 when I laid my eyes on that, it looked like a Blue Demon Death machine...better stick to the old Artic Cat 399 Panther.
More pics...1st the 74 then 90 Phazer and 3rd pic the Devil's Triplets as my Uncle John called them!

Re: Any Vintage Sled Heads Here???
Great pics & so true about the style/lines of those mid to late 70's sleds influencing the future ones. The Phazer really revolutionized the industry with it's styling, reliability, & performance......I couldn't believe how fast & light they were when I first rode my friends back in '85.....what a sled! I have always loved the Yamaha's as it was the very first sled I ever rode (GP) & my first sled purchased (SRV). My last was a '97 Ski-Doo 670 MXZ which my brother bought 5 yrs ago. I want to get another, maybe Ski-Doo or Yamaha 4-stroke & always looking for any cool vintage sled.

Re: Any Vintage Sled Heads Here???
Just read a cool story about a John Deere Prototype that was being built and tested before the sled division was sold to Polaris. The prototype included the first ever independent front suspension and it was installed on one sled only! Whereabouts of that sled to this day are still not public! Pics available, but no sled. Also saw a barn find in Iowa that had 5 crated AMF Ski-Daddlers form 69-70...never even had the skis put on them. Cool stuff keep it coming!

Re: Any Vintage Sled Heads Here???
Looks like that Phaser and the Super Brute were seperated at birth.
I think it would have been a blast to drive THIS baby!
