Hey gang! zman just alerted me to this thread so I can shed some light. In short, everyone is right. The apple green vette was indeed built by Harold Dear whowas kind enough to give it to me when I inquired if it was for sale. After some time, because of toning, I sent it off to Rooster to be plated and painted. Asyou can see, his work was stellar as always. I would post a photo, but the one zman has posted is my photo from a previous post and I don't have adifferent one.

As for the one from Chuck, it was also sent off to Rooster for plating and painting. Here it is in it's current state:

Chuck also showed you the 442 he did which was also sent to Rooster for plating and painting. Here it is:

Are these killer or what? If you ever get a chance to work with Rooster, do it. Receiving your package from him is like Christmas morning.

Also, my gratitude goes out to Chuck and Harold for giving the chance to own these fine cars. They are unique and are still a part of my collection.

Steve

Looks like two different vettes' from here......
JBS~

It is 2 different Vetts JBS.. I just miss led eveyone in the earlier post..

In my opinion Chuck and Dear Harold are some of the best customizers around and I had a Great time doing these at Rooster's.. Killer cars !

Steve.. Thanks for the Great Post bro and clearing up the questions.. Great pics !

alright then..
Rooster
Kool' Vettes'... Is either one the cars being represented here for the contest by the current owners?
JBS~
Great contest, nice work by the participants.

A few things here.

When you set out some guidelines in the beginning,I suggest you follow those guidelines. Otherwise it can make things messy later on.
As we say with our sales here, keep it clear as it saves the hassle later.

As I believe you did,I suggest you have cars entered only by the builders themselves. It's pretty easy to dig out some old pictures and post something up.
Also maybe try and keep it as a contest build up. Your prizes are considerable,so that should inspire the artists.

Good luck to the contestants.

Frank
Thanks Steve. Makes a lot of sense to me now. I was wondering how the polish job would of held up to look like that still.

btw Great job on the paint Rooster.
rdln66 I here what you are saying. Just remember this is my first contest. It was looking like there was not going to be a contest, hence the slight changeshere and there.I had to work out some details suggested by fellow board members, but I think its' still holding up well. notice I did not enter any of myKustoms', so the only nthing I get out of any of this is a good time and hopefully the rest of you will too...It can only get better from here
Once again thanks goes out to all who are participating. Remember voting begins Midnight tonight(sunday).
