Michael, I agree with you up to a point but it will cost thousands of dollars to keep this piece of crap alive. He was a policeofficer. He knew the law. No excuses. Cops need to be held more accountable for their actions. The SOB does NOT deserve to live. His child will be betteroff w/o him. Keeping him alive is no good for society. He will still enjoy things in life that Jesse will not enjoy. This scumbag may enjoy a movie or asong or a candy bar. He will get joy at receiving news of his living child. Jesse will get none of that. On top of that , he killed his own child.

I am totally disgusted with men that do NOT want children and yet will NOT wear a condom. I stress to my sons all of the time to wear a "raincoat"all of the time and to not depend the b*tches using protection. Had he used a condom 9 months earlier, maybe none of this would've happened!

Now let the SOB fry.

maribell

Why so much hatred?
You're right, we should all join Greg and invite this guy to thanksgiving, tell him its OK and that he probably had a reason to and that we'll give himanother chance, where we can thank him for doing what he did...then we can all go hug a tree for gods sake.

We live in a political society partially based on the values found within theBible originally. A civilized justice system is a necessary part of that. I'm curious just how many people who call for the death penalty would actually dothe deed. Even seasoned police officers find themselves in a psychological crisis after having to kill someone. Seems though, that there is something inparticular about the US that facilitates such butchery. Hollywood? Gun Lobby? Ignorance? Cultivated greed? What is it? Why so much hatred? He's a killer, murderer, killing his (girlfriend) & his unborn child!!! Come on, you want him or his kind living down the streetfrom your daughter? Oh yea he's got a wife on the side too, what a fine young man. Lets just give him another chance. I don't get it,you don'treason or try to understand killers you remove them from society by whatever means necessary....dave

groggerbug wrote:
Why so much hatred?

Simple! The further to the right your frame of mind is, the more visceral and unintellectual you are. The further to the left, the more intellectual andless of a propensity for violence. Also, Adam, I'd rather have a 1000 trees and 2 humans than 2 trees and 1000 humans! What do ya have against trees?Weren't you sporting some pics of nice Texas scenery? Notice any trees in that pic? I guess the only use you have for a tree is to hang people from eh!Andy

BlueWagoon wrote:
That is vile! I understand the sentiment. No Liberal wants bad guys walking around anymore than innocents being put to death. The trick is to strike the right balance. There is a homeless guy in my small town who when he was about 12 witnessed his Dad kill his Mom. It absolutely destroyed his life. He was living under a tarp in a hole on abandoned land by the harbour last winter. This guy just can't get it together. He's spent the last 25 years or so selling dope, break-ins, thievery, etc....The last I heard he was draining parking meters in the middle of the night. There's a lotta folks around here who would really rather just see the guy dead, just about all of whom are right wing Christians! This speaks to Christianity for me! Andy

I get it, you don't like Christianity, but what does that have to do with the original question? If you were a juror, would you vote for life in prisonor the death penalty? Leave religion in any form out of it. I think he should die and you think life in prison is best....period. How this turned into adiscussion about religion and politics is beyond me and is way off topic.
